The Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society, Inc. is based in the Greater Moncton area. It encompasses all of Westmorland, Albert, and Kent Counties. Many of its members also have roots within Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, of which the area was part prior to the creation of New Brunswick in 1784.

The Southeastern Branch meets starting at 2:00 pm on the third Saturday of each month. Please note there are no meetings in June, July, August and December. The Annual General Meeting is held on the second Saturday of May. Meetings are held at Saint John the Baptist Anglican Church, 28 Woolridge, Riverview. All meetings are open to the General Public.

FAMILY HISTORY RESEARCH SERVICE:
The Family History Research Service (FHRS) is an archives collection placed in the Heritage Room of the Moncton Public Library and maintained by volunteers of the Southeastern Branch of the New Brunswick Genealogical Society Inc.(NBGS)
It consists of six archives:
The FHRS is located on the second floor of the Moncton Public Library, 644 Main Street, Moncton, NB
To maintain the service Southeastern Branch houses all the collection of books, magazines and CDs the Society posses. Access to view the collection is free to those holding a permanent or temporary library card. None of the collection can be removed from the room.
Most of the collection have a library number and can be searched on the New Brunswick Public Library Service, Vision catalogue, Moncton holdings.
